What you choose
Your table, decided with you.
Price and timing
Custom tables from $8,500. Typical lead times can range from 8 to 12 weeks.
The size, the species, the slab and the base all change the number. We quote every table on its own, after the consult.
-
The wood
Black walnut, claro walnut, redwood, coast live oak, Monterey cypress, sycamore and more, from trees that came down in towns, on ranches and in old orchards. When we know where a tree grew, it goes on the record.
-
The slabs
Not just the species: you pick the actual slabs your table is built from, in the yard or from the slab yard online. One wide slab, a bookmatched pair, or two slabs joined by a river.
-
The size and the edge
We size the table to your room and the people around it, and plan it around your stairs, doorways and tight turns. Keep the live edge, or square it off.
-
The base
Our own team builds in wood and steel: trestles, steel frames, tree-shaped legs, hand-hammered bases. You see the design before anything is cut.
-
The finish
Commercial-grade finish systems, made for a table that gets used every day.

Straight answers
Before you book.
How much does a custom live edge dining table cost?
Custom tables start at $8,500. Every table is quoted on its own, because the size, the species, the slab and the base all change the number. We'll talk budget at the consult and point you toward what fits.
How long does it take?
Typical lead times can range from 8 to 12 weeks. That's a planning range, not a promise. Have a firm date, like an event or a move-in? Tell us at the start and we'll give you a straight answer.
Where does the wood come from?
From salvaged California trees that came down in towns, on ranches and in old orchards across the Central Coast and surrounding regions. We mill the logs ourselves, in our yard, and dry the wood in our own kiln before we build with it.
Will a live edge table crack or move?
It's real wood, so hairline checks and character marks are part of it, and it will still move a little with the seasons. We dry the wood before we build with it (our kiln-dried slabs come out at 8 to 12% moisture), which keeps that movement small.
Can I see the slabs in person?
Yes. The shop is at 2732 Danley Ct, Suite 101, Paso Robles, open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm, and appointments are preferred. The yard is open Tuesday through Thursday, by appointment only. You can also browse the slab yard online first.
Can you build a table from our own tree?
Yes. We can mill it, dry it and build your table from it, and keep its story with the piece. Start with your tree.
Do you deliver outside the Central Coast?
Yes. We're in Paso Robles and we schedule delivery across California and beyond. Ask us about yours, and we'll quote it with your table.
